We are very excited to announce that the sighting data and images managed by Happywhale.com are now available through OBIS-SEAMAP. Thanks to Happywhale.com's contribution and decication to advance citizen sciences, a part of their data are transferred to OBIS-SEAMAP per species and ocean basin and the images are fetched from their web site.

As of April 3rd, 2018, 105 datasets with close to 30,000 sighting data are registered in OBIS-SEAMAP. A list of all datasets is available at http://seamap.env.duke.edu/partner/Happywhale.

All Happywhale data and images visible on the OBIS-SEAMAP web site are subject to the creative commons non-commercial license.

We hope you can enjoy wonderful images of whales, pinnipeds, sea turtles and penguins!
