Abstract

This project is part of the larger program entitled: TRACKING AND GENETIC ANALYSIS OF SEA TURTLES IN THE EASTERN PART OF INDONESIA, to identify post nesting migration of Olive, green and hawksbill turtles, as well as raising awareness of the locals to support turtle conservation in the region.

Udayana University has been involved in sea turtle conservation in Indonesia since early 1990s. Main arena are research and education/training.

Project sponsor
WWF Indonesia is the leading non-government organization in the country who committed to focus on sea turtle conservation in all aspects of turtle issues, i.e. habitat protection, trade reduction, and bycatch mitigation.
