MABDC Help
Introduction
OBIS-SEAMAP provides services and functionality for the Mid-Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin Photo-Identification Catalog (MABDC) in which a dozen of contributors from New Jersey to the north to Florida to the south participate sharing their dolphin sighting information and dorsal fin photos. The services are composed of three applications including a custom Microsoft Access database with which the curator of MABDC organizes dorsal fin photos and associated dolphin information, a web-based workflow where the curator and the contributors circulate and verify potential fin matches, and an online interface for fin matching that allows the conbributors to browse fin photos from other sites and find potential matches.
