OBIS datasets incorporated

We are pleased to announce that marine mammal, seabird and sea turtle data registered in iOBIS are successfully harvested and incorporated into the OBIS-SEAMAP database. The data harvested exclude those originated from OBIS-SEAMAP to avoid duplicates.

Currently there are 74 datasets counting more than 540,000 records coming from iOBIS. See the complete list of the datasets from iOBIS.

On the Dataset Page (e.g. http://seamap.env.duke.edu/dataset/103150148), iOBIS is credited as 'Source' in the Summary pane to the left and 'References' section in [Information] tab has a link to the iOBIS Portal page.
