oceanographic layers updated

Association of animal sightings with oceanographic variables is one of the most intriguing research themes in marine sciences. OBIS-SEAMAP has been helping researchers do this by servicing more than 2TB of oceanographic data archives and sampling the oceanographic variables against all the OBIS-SEAMAP observation records. Now we are very happy to announce that we have updated our archives extending the time period and making this service more consistent.

Please take a look at the online help (on either Dataset Page, Species Page or Advanced Search, click '?' icon in the title bar of [Environment] panel to the left) for the details on the oceanographic archives (e.g. data sources, available time period etc). A plain text version of the online help is also available.
