Sightings (snap shots) of sea birds collected by Biosphere Expeditions collaborators specifically for POPA. Since 2004 that Biosphere Expeditions (www.biosphere-expeditions.org) collects data for POPA in the Azores central group in April and May.

This dataset was downloaded from OBIS (https://obis.org/). The records for only marine mammals, seabirds, sea turtles and rays and sharks were extracted. Records with no longitude/latitude or no date (eventDate) were excluded.
