Abstract

Durante la expedición Seaflower 2017 se llevó a cabo la caracterización íctica presente en la isla, en particular en su zona lagunar. Esto, con la intención de complementar la información colectada en las expediciones previas, dentro del marco de las expediciones organizadas por la Comisión Colombiana del Océano (CCO) en donde se visitó las islas de Roncador y Serrana, con el fin de contribuir al inventario de la biodiversidad de la Reserva de Biosfera Seaflower. Se observaron 166 especies de peces, pertenecientes a 50 familias. De ellos 23 fueron nuevos registros para la isla, 4 para la reserva y 8 para las islas del norte. Se ratifica de esta manera la altísima biodiversidad de la Reserva en general y de las islas septentrionales en particular, en comparación con otras áreas del Caribe.
